Mary Jo Pane is a self taught jewelry maker.
One night in November 2001, inspired by the aftermath of 9/11 and a friend's illness she came up with the idea to "take the medals I wore in grade school and make them into cool jewelry".
And Miracle Icons was born.
In the 22 years since that night Miracle Icons by Mary Jo Pane have been featured in fashion magazines globally. Bruce Springsteen gracing the cover of Rolling Stone, Mia Wasikowska on the cover of W Magazine and many other fashion editorials. Celebrity clients in addition to Springsteen and Wasikowska include Hillary Clinton. Matthew McConaughey, Johnny Depp, Mira Sorvino, Zayn Malek, Harry Styles, Colin Farrell, John Mellencamp, and Jake Gyllenhaal to name a few.
