Diary of a busy day
Today my friend Brian Dressel came to help me add new product photos shot by the amazing Lynda Churilla www.lyndachurilla.com. I am thrilled with the image shots Lynda took she really captured the essence of my new collection. For these pieces, I went back to the beginning of Miracle Icons and used authentic Mala prayer beads mixed with semi-precious stones. I love the combinations, to me they speak to a spirit of calm we call can use now. More than ever I think my collection resonates with the state of the world. Who doesn’t need a saint to ground them in these uncertain times? Did you know there is a patron of plagues/pandemics actually there are several and luckily I have a few in my inventory? I also did some necklaces using vintage rosary beads and sterling silver that are exclusive to the website. Again these go back to the beginning of Miracle Icons.
I also got a text from my good and great patron Don Miggs and tomorrow I will be a guest on his radio show at 12:30EST http://miggsandswig.com/ please tune in if you can. We are going to discuss everything from the NY Yankees. my jewelry and the election.
If this is your introduction to Miracle Icons here is a little background in 2001 I got the idea that I wanted to take the medals I wore as a grade school kid and make them into cool jewelry people would want to wear and not hide under there shirts. I taught myself to make jewelry, every piece is hand made and feature authentic vintage and antique spiritual medals. I do not feel my product is exclusive to any religion I think it is for the spiritually evolved. Little did I think when I started that I would see Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Robin Thicke, Nick Swisher, Edie Brickell, and Hillary Clinton wearing my jewelry.
In addition to this website, you can find Miracle Icons at www.borsheims.com www.gorsuch.com and Combine in Minneapolis.
